  12. How do I download the movies?

    Please follow the instructions below:

To play the videos you should first download them to your hard drive. To do this right click on the link, choose "Save Target As" and then save the file to your hard drive.

Once it has downloaded you can open the file directly from the folder you saved it.

Alternatively if you just click on the download link, the video will open up your Windows Media Player and immediatly start downloading and playing.

The majority of our movies are in MP4 format. This format works across the most amount of devices including mobile phones. To play WMV files you need to ensure you have Version 9 of Windows Media Player. You can download that free from Microsoft.com.

There a few MPG files should play in most players. There are also a few Quicktime movies that will play in Apple's free Quicktime movie player or in the Windows Media Player.

You will need a media player to be able to view movies on our site. We recommend the three below:

Windows Media Player - This is the most popular media player and we recommend it. For help with Windows Media Player, you can click here for their FAQ.

Real Media Player - A good general purpose media player.

Quicktime Player - Mostly used by Apple Mac but can also be used on a PC. Good quality and has the ability to compress large movies into smaller files.

For Mac users having problems viewing WMVs, we recommend using Flip4Mac's WMV Player. The WMV Player is an industry first product offering that allows you to play Windows Media directly in your QuickTime Player.

Another program we recommend, that is free, is VLC Media Player.

  13. What is the difference between streaming and downloading?

    Solution:
Streaming means the video file will open up within your browser and stream the video. It will start playing as soon as it downloads enough data. If you are on a slow connection, it might pause while it downloads more data and then start again. We recommend streaming if you are on a MAC or are having issues with your Media Player. If you are on a slower connection, then you might want to download to your harddrive and play later.

  14. What is the difference between HD, LD, MP4, 3G movies?

    Solution
HD movies refer to movies that are best played on a DSL or highband connection. The movies are larger screensize (1280x720) and are better quality. They are also usually twice as large as the LD movies so we only recommend them on highband connections. LD movies are lower quality and more compressed and best for slower connections. Quicker loading versus better quality.

MP4 video link is intended for mobile devices with quicker connections. 3G is for older mobile devices and slower connections.
NOTE: You can stream all video formats on your mobile devices typically, even the HD quality ones. Just be on wireless otherwise you'll use a lot of bandwidth.
